KHUSHHALI MICROFINANCE BANK INAUGURATES ITS NEW BRANCH IN HUNZA

Khushhali Microfinance Bank (KMBL) has inaugurated its new branch in Hunza. This branch will offer all-inclusive banking services including Group and MSME loans, deposit, remittances, online transfer and insurance. The new Hunza branch is KMBL’s third branch in the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) region; the other two are present in Gilgit and Gahkuch.

This association is one of its kind where both organizations are committed to raising awareness about the importance of trees and regular plantation among their employees as well as delivering a message to a wider audience regarding the importance of environment conservation and Khushhali bank’s commitment to the cause.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Pakistan and Khushhali Microfinance Bank have announced their alliance to serve the cause of making the country greener, by planting 2,500 indigenous trees in various areas of the capital city – Islamabad and Rawalpindi region as part of the WWF-Pakistan’s Tree-A-Thon Activity. The focus area of the project would be public places and educational institutes.

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, conducted a housing microfinance training in April at Khushhali Microfinance Bank, Pakistan’s leading microfinance bank. The objective was to enhance the capacity of the bank’s loan officers on a new micro-housing product recently launched by the Bank.
