KMBL SETS UP MEDICAL CAMPS TO PROVIDE CHECKUPS

A one-day medical camp was organized by Khushhali Microfinance Bank Limited (KMBL) in collaboration with Jubilee Insurance in Chistian, Bahawalnagar district, to provide free medical facilities like checkups, consultation sessions and medicines to patients in the area.

It was the first medical camp arranged by a microfinance institute in the area. Doctors and paramedical staff were appointed at the camp to attend to the local people in general health care. An average of 160 patients were attended by each doctor and were provided with 5 days’ supply of free medicines.

Owing to the entitlement of being the first microfinance bank in Pakistan, Khushhali Microfinance Bank Limited (KMBL) celebrated its 19th anniversary on 11th August, 2019. Since its inauguration in the year 2000, the bank has managed to spread its network count to 182 provincial branches, 15 service centers, 16 permanent booths and 11 GPOs; equaling a total count of 224 footprint across the country. KMBL takes pride in being a major financial facilitator for more than 830,000 micro-entrepreneurs of Pakistan, strengthening the marginalized segment of economic development.

The mission to preserve the natural environment, Khushhali Microfinance Bank Limited has always proved itself to be a proactive institute for carrying out CSR activities and participating in various green initiatives. In lines to its principles, an initiative has been taken of planting and maintaining 6,000 plants at Changa Manga, near Lahore. It has been made possible under the partnership of KMBL and Punjab Forest department.

Three of Khushhali Microfinance Bank’s (KMBL) successful clients received awards at 13th Citi PPAF Micro entrepreneurship Awards. The ceremony organized by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and Citi Foundation was held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad to acknowledge the triumphant micro entrepreneurs across Pakistan.

These awards were meant to highlight the efforts of micro entrepreneurs who have overcome extra ordinary challenges in their lives and utilized their micro-loans to build successful lives for themselves and their families.
