As an active supporter of environment preservation initiatives, Khushhali Microfinance Bank (KMBL) has endorsed the setup of Children Camping site near Trail 5, Margalla Hills in Islamabad.
KMBL is well aware of its Corporate Social Responsibility and therefore, has exhibited absolute collaboration with Islamabad Wild life Management Board (IWMB) for the inauguration ceremony of this establishment. With the aim to establish a recreational place for physical activities and easy access to forestry, hiking trails and other amenities, this place is highly suitable for young adventurers and sports lovers. It will be used for various activities that will contribute towards healthy development of children. This will not only promote inclination of interest towards preservation of nature in them but will also add to their mental health in many ways. A camping site away from the hustle of city life was indeed a vital initiative needed in Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Ghalib Nishtar President KMBL expressed his views,
‘The purpose is to provide a safe environment for the youth of the capital to gain unique learning experience of team work and outdoor skills. Such recreational activities help develop physical, mental, social and emotional growth’
Earlier this year as well, Khushhali Microfinance Bank (KMBL) worked with IWMB to regenerate indigenous tree species to reverse the effects of deforestation. The Bank staff also participated for plantation of 100 native and fast growing local tree species of Amaltas, Phulai and Kachnar in the National Park.
