Job Objective: Design and conduct surveys to collect customer preferences and statistical data to support the Bank in designing products and promotions. The incumbent will be analyzing qualitative data, trends, strategies and competition aiming at increasing the Bank’s competitive edge.
Develop and expand the product portfolio in consultation with the business. Achieving all customer metric targets (e.g. customer satisfaction). Anticipating customer needs in each market segment and accordingly developing/delivering value propositions that ensure the sustainability of the brand. Plan, manage and monitor product research, planning & management of assets and liabilities portfolio through new product development, evaluation of their feasibility, product training and ensuring that front line staff and sales teams are equipped to achieve assigned revenue targets.

1. Research Design & Implementation
· Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences.
· Collect data on consumers, competitors and market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations.
· Design and conduct market mapping of KMBL products to optimize their performance.
· Manage both quantitative and qualitative research projects from inception through to delivery, managing fieldwork, analysis and reporting and presenting findings.
· Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis.
· Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings; identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation.
· Ensure research efforts are not overlapping to avoid data duplication.
2. Research Analysis
· Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct.
· Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations.
· Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
· Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases.
· Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practices.
3. Budgeting & Vendor Management
· Coordinate with key vendors for research software and support.
· Liaise with external research agencies for services as required.
· Ensure all research costs are maintained within budget.
4. Product Development & Management
· Utilize data and information obtained from market research & surveys, front-line staff and addition sources to develop and realign products and services according to customer requirements.
· Act as point of first reference for all product related inquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues in microfinance developments to address any issues which may arise.
· Develop product pricing in consultation with CMO and circulate of schedule of charges on semi-annual basis across the network.
· Develop product related insurance covenants, pricing and process flow development regarding claim settlement.
5. Training & Development
· Develop research training modules for department and branch teams.
· Conduct training sessions on research methodology for key field teams to enhance their data collection capabilities and minimize data duplication.
Required Education & Experience:
· BS degree in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing or related field from an HEC recognized / overseas University.
· At least 3 years of experience working within market research & data analysis with the ability to manage the entire research life-cycle from design through to analysis.
Skills
· Proven market research analysis experience
· Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office
· Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
· Familiarity with CRM programs
· Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.)
· Working knowledge of data warehousing, modeling and mining
· Strong analytical and critical thinking
