TRAINING ON RICE CROP AT SARGODHA
Promoting Agriculture through Farmers' Training on Rice Crop at Sargodha
11 Oct, 2017

In extension of Khushhali Microfinance Bank’s (KMBL) CSR initiative to educate farmers on effective and the latest farming techniques, a quarterly training session on rice crops was organized in Sargodha. Held by KMBL’s Sargodha branch, the session was conducted by Mohammad Ramzan, a rice expert from the Rice Research Institute in Kala Shah Kaku.

In attendance were more than 170 farmers from the local community, who learnt about pesticides, fertilizers, types of seeds, and sowing techniques. The session was free for all attendees.

KMBL realizes the importance of the agricultural sector as it contributes heavily to the local economy. For this purpose, the bank uses its network to assist local farmers with small loans so they can increase their output, positively impact on the GDP, while securing their own future. Apart from micro loans, the bank also provides regular trainings to the farming community in a bid to promote the latest farming techniques. KMBL believes educating farmers enables them to benefit the most from the funds they invest in agriculture.
