PakistanMicrofinanceNetwork hosted a two-day Microfinance Conference on Innovation and Growth, with Khushhali Microfinance Bank as one of the sponsors of the conference. The event was held in Islamabad and Dr. Miftah Ismail, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Investment, inaugurated the Conference with leaders of the sector in attendance. Ghalib Nishtar, President Khushhali Microfinance Bank, also addressed the gathering during the session on Microfinance Plus. During his address, he emphasized that the industry needs to embed microfinance plus services as one of the pillars in its business development strategy. He further added that the practitioners need to be supportive of people at the bottom of the pyramid through product innovation and also be sensitive to their requirements while remaining ethical in their business practices.
